Roster Rocket

Privacy policy

Last updated November 6, 2026

Roster Rocket is an app for youth sports teams: coaches build lineups, and coaches, parents and players share a team's schedule, attendance, lineups, live score and messages. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who it's shared with, and how to have it deleted.

Using the app without signing in

Signing in is optional. If you don't sign in, your teams, rosters, games and walk-up songs are stored only on your device. We don't receive any of it.

What we collect when you sign in

Your email addressTo send you a 6-digit sign-in code and to identify your account. We don't send marketing email.
Your nameThe display name you choose, shown to the other members of your teams.
Team informationFor teams you share: the team name, players' names and jersey numbers, which positions they can play, the schedule, who's coming to each game, lineups, live scores, and each member's role on the team.
MessagesAnnouncements, team chat and direct messages you send in the app, so the people in the conversation can read them.
Walk-up songsSongs added to a shared team, so the person playing music at a game can play them.
A notification tokenAn identifier from Apple or Google that lets us send notifications to your phone, such as a new message or a posted lineup. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings.

We don't use advertising, analytics or tracking tools, we don't collect your location, and we never sell or rent anyone's information.

Who can see team information

Only members of a team can see that team's information, and what each member sees depends on their role. Parents and players see the roster, the schedule, who's coming to each game, posted lineups and the live score, and can change attendance only for their own children or themselves. Lineups a coach hasn't posted stay with the coaches. These rules are enforced on our servers, not only in the app.

Children

Roster Rocket is used by youth teams, so coaches enter children's names and jersey numbers. Player accounts are meant for older players, and a parent or guardian is linked to each player. Any direct or group message that includes a player automatically includes that player's parents or guardians, so an adult can't message a child privately in the app. If you're a parent and want your child's information or account removed, email us and we'll delete it.

Services we use

We share information only with the companies that run parts of the service for us, and only what each needs:

If you link a GameChanger account, the app signs in on GameChanger's own page, never sees your GameChanger password, and only reads your team's roster and game replies. The GameChanger sign-in is kept in the app's memory and is never sent to us.

Security

Information is encrypted between the app and our servers. Sign-in uses one-time codes, so there are no passwords to steal.

Keeping and deleting information

We keep your account and team information while you use Roster Rocket. A team's admin can remove members and players, and you can leave a team at any time. To delete your account, email hello@rosterocket.com from the address you sign in with. We'll delete your account, your name and your notification tokens within 30 days. Messages you sent to a team stay in that team's conversations unless you ask us to remove them too.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll tell you in the app.
